Soft Spot would be a wonderful show hunter for an amateur or junior rider, ideal for a timid rider or someone needing a confidence builder.

He has consistently been division champion or reserve in every division he has been in during his first year showing in 2008. He has won with both adults and junior riders. He hacks on a loose rein and wins the hacks at the local shows he attended in 2008.

Soft Spot is ideal of a variety of riders. When very young riders are on him he is very quiet and will instinctively add a stride to take care of a rider that is not ready to “jump big.” With experienced riders he will happily open his step so that he can do a 12’ stride and jump from a nice hunter distance. He has plenty of scope for advanced riders. We anticipate that he will show in the 3’ hunters in 2009.

Soft Spot is not only a reliable workman in the ring and at the shows, but he is also fantastic on trails. He was very lightly schooled and trail ridden until 6 years old, when he started his jumping education and started going to shows. When he has not been showing he has taken timid riders on very long trail rides and “never puts a foot wrong.”

He is very sound and being a 2002 horse he should enjoy a long and productive career as a show hunter. He is very reasonably priced at the bottom of the five figure range. Approved for sale only to an appropriate show home.
